Improvement the quality of Jute Fiber

Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Dr Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian has said the use of jute will be increased by improving the quality of jute fiber and producing multipurpose jute products.

“For this purpose, the related research activities need to be increased,” he said, while addressing an annual agricultural research review workshop in the capital on Thursday.

The secretary directed the officials concerned to work properly for the expansion of multipurpose jute products.

He also urged them to prepare a roadmap for jute research activities for the next 20 years.
